Playing the waiting game

Well we had the appointment in Kansas City this afternoon. We got some answers, have more questions. The long and the short of it is that they did a test today which we should have the results of by Friday. Depending on those results, we may have to submit to another test here in Topeka in the next few weeks, and they want to do an Ultrasound on me to rule out any malformed body parts.

Regardless of the results, we have to go back to KC in December to do another of the same tests that they did today to see if there is any change. Hurry up and wait seems to be our life right now, but at least the test they did today should give us a clearer picture of what is to come.

If they don't like what they see in December, we got the name of a Perinatologist in KC who performs IUIs and IVFs, and we will go see her to form a game plan. IUIs are around $500. IVFs are around $12,000. One of the things they are looking at is whether or not an IUI is even possible in our situation. We don't have the money to do IVF, so we need to figure out how far we are willing to go before we find an alternate route. All very overwhelming. Any suggestions, or words of wisdom/encouragement are welcome!

The pictures are some from this past weekend. It was my Aunt Karen's 40th birthday. Hope everyone has a great week!
