So my luck just keeps getting better...our gerbil is already dead. He was fine this morning. My mom came over to pick me up and she was playing with him. We put him in his ball and he rolled around the floor. We went to the museum for a couple of hours, came back and he was kind of groggy acting, but I didn't really think anything about it. Well, our wedding photographer came to Topeka with our Art Leather album of wedding pictures and by the time he left, the gerbil was a goner. So we have to go back to PetSmart and take them a shoe box with a dead gerbil in it and hopefully get another one.
On the doctor front, I have an appointment the day before school starts to see a new OB/GYN and perinatologist. He specializes in testing for infertility and critical pregnancy cases so hopefully he can maybe give us some answers, or at least some direction as to what our next step should be. The cool thing is that if/when we get pregnant he can be our doctor throughout the duration of the pregnancy.
We are gearing up to head to Great Bend for the After Harvest Festival. Jeff and his friend Andy play in the Ellinwood Golf Tournament every year, and last year they won. Hopefully this year they will do equally as well. He is also playing in the Little Apple Open in Manhattan the first weekend of August, and a charity golf tournament the second weekend of August in Topeka. If anyone would like to come and partake in any golf with me, I would love the company!
A note about the picture: This picture was taken in our first apartment together...notice the ill fitting couch cover...thank goodness the college furniture days are behind us!
